When Montevertine walked away from the Chianti Classico appellation in 1981 rather than blend in the white grapes the rules then required, this 100% Sangiovese bottling from a single vineyard in Radda became one of the world's most celebrated wines of terroir, albeit as a humble IGT. Radda, Chianti's highest elevation village, gives wines of bright red berry fruit and aromatic lift, and this is
